• Player Code of Conduct
  As a member of the Pine Rivers Baseball Club Inc, I recognise that:
  . The Pine Rivers Baseball Club represents those things which are great about the sport of baseball and amateur athletics.
  . I am an ambassador for my community, for baseball, for amateur athletics, for my team and for myself
  . The behaviour of any single player (or group of players) can have an impact upon the team and its reputation in the community, it's young people, and within the baseball community.
  . I have an obligation to conduct myself on and off the field in ways which bring honour and distinction to myself, my teammates, this team, all of baseball and this community.
  I therefore pledge that:
  . My actions on and off the field will be positive and I will strive to be a model citizen, to help create a positive perception of myself, my team and baseball
  . I will show consideration for the general public any time we are in public.
  . I pledge to do everything I can, on and off the field, to help create a positive perception of myself, my team and baseball.
  I understand that:
  The management of PRRBC will have no tolerance for behaviour which casts the team and baseball in an unfavourable light. The consequences will be:
  . My tenure as a member of PRRBC will come to an immediate end.
  . My coach will be notified, outlining the reason for my departure.
  . A similar letter will be sent to my parents.
  . This action will be included in any reports which PRRBC may provide to scouts from professional baseball.(I am aware that professional baseball organisations count off field conduct as an important part of their scouting process on every prospect.)
• Parent Code of Conduct
  Parents / Guardians Code of Conduct as set by BQI and administrated by Pine Rivers Rapids Baseball Club (PRRBC):
  . Remember that children participate in sport for their enjoyment, not yours.
  . Encourage children to participate, do not force them.
  . Focus on the child's efforts and performance rather than winning or losing.
  . Encourage children always to play according to the rules and to settle disagreements without resorting to
          hostility or violence.
  . Never ridicule or yell at a child for making a mistake or losing a competition.
  . Remember that children learn best by example. Appreciate good performances and skillful plays by all participants.
  . Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from sporting activities.
  . Respect officials' decisions and teach children to do likewise.
  . Show appreciation for volunteer coaches, officials and administrators. Without them, your child could not participate.
  . Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every young person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
  . If you have a concern with a Coach or Administrator, rather than fester it, please communicate it.
  . It is important during trips away that parents allow their children the opportunity of "spreading their wings"
  . Parents should never discuss what they feel best for their child on field, unless they first have discussed it with the coach.
  . It is important for parents to support BQI in relation to all off field training and development programs.
  . Parents need to support BQI's motto: "Development of young people is more important than the development of young baseballers."
  . Encourage your child's Coach (es) at all possible times. That small pat on the back "Goes a long way"
